BBC Proms debut this Sunday

This Sunday, Angela brings her highly acclaimed performance of Verdi’s Requiem to London’s 2015 BBC Proms.  In its review of her performance of Verdi’s iconic work with the New York Philharmonic and Alan Gilbert, the New York Times exclaimed that “Ms. Meade’s voice soared commandingly over the orchestra and chorus – an operatic feat, undoubtedly, and a magnificent one.”  Led by Donald Runnicles, Angela joins mezzo-soprano Karen Cargill, tenor Yosep Kang, bass Raymond Acetro, the Concert Association of the Chorus of Deutsche Oper Berlin and the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra on stage at Royal Albert Hall.

For those who are unable to make it to London, they can tune in to BBC Radio 3 for a live broadcast of the Proms at 8pm GMT. The Prom will also be repeated on Wednesday, August 5 at 2pm GMT.
