Angela’s summer season filled with Rossini, Donizetti, and BBC Proms debut

May 28th, 2015

After a busy spring season, Angela kicks off her summer next week in Spain performing the title role in Rossini’s Ermione at Palacio de la Opera (June 6). She will then step into the studio in London to record the role of Hélène d’Egmont in Donizetti’s rarely performed Le duc d’Albe. The recording will be distributed by Opera Rara, and will feature The Hallé Orchestra under the direction of Sir Mark Elder. In late June, Angela will return to the United States for a concert performance of Donizetti’s Maria Stuarda at the Astoria Music Festival (June 28) before traveling back across the pond to make her debut with the BBC Proms in Verdi’s Requiem (August 2). Her summer season will end with a concert of arias with Cameron Schutza, MaryAnn McCormick and Luis Ledesma titled “Grand and Glorious” at Portland SummerFest.
